Circe by Krista Canterbury Adams

Reading shells of pearly hue,
Scrying the luster
At the center of the wave—
I am mistress
Of all that’s hidden here,
Of what
To my ear
I hold this
Polished ridge,
Listen long to its remembrances—
to the salty song
Of ocean’s burning
Murmuring brightly there.

Krista Canterbury Adams has studied poetry at Ohio Dominican University and The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. Her poem “Resurrection” has been published in print and online. She has a six-poem series due to be printed this spring in AHF Magazine.
